Fenwal 4R2014 - PACK, TRANSFER PACK UNITS 300ML, 96/CS
Transfer-Pack container with Coupler - 300 mL
For processing and/or storage of blood or blood components. Transfer-Pack containers in multiple configurations to address your needs. Dispensing cartons available on most Transfer-Packs.
- Sterile, nonpyrogenic fluid path.
- Sterilized by irradiation. Sterile fluid path.
- Do not use if tip protector is not in place.
- Dispose of container appropriately
- Single use only.
Instructions for Fluid Transfer: Use Aseptic Technique
- Prepare unit for desired fluid transfer, placing in plasma extractor if necessary.
- Clamp a hemostat on the Transfer Pack Container tubing.
- Expose outlet port of unit containing fluid.
- Remove coupler into outlet port with a twisting motion until firmly seated.
- Remove hemostat to initiate fluid transfer, if plasma extractor is used, release handle and gently allow plate to contact unit.
- When desired amount of fluid has been transferred, clamp hemostat on Transfer Pack Container tubing.
- Remove unit from plasma extractor if used. Make three hermetic seals closely spaced, on Transfer Pack Container tubing. Carefully sever center seal using care to avoid fluid splatter. Remove hemostat.
- Label containers appropriately and store as required.
