What Is a 1ml Syringe?
A 1ml syringe is simply a syringe that has a maximum internal capacity of 1ml, or 1cc. When measuring syringes, it’s common to refer to their total internal capacity in either millimeters or cubic centimeters, and 1ml syringes are used in many healthcare institutions across the globe.
1ml syringes are some of the smallest, but also among the most commonly-used. They’re ideal for injecting small, controlled doses of various kinds of medicines into the body, or for drawing out and measuring small quantities of fluids for different medical purposes.
Typically, a 1ml syringe will consist of a central compartment to store the fluid, a needle or spout at the base to eject the fluid, and a plunger at the top which helps to control the flow of fluid in and out of the main body. There are also graduated markings along the side of the syringe for measurement purposes.
