Product Description

Cardinal Health 92152 - POUCH, STERI, SELF-SEAL, PEEL, 12" X 15", 400 EA/CS, 4 PK/CS

Sterilization Peel Pouch, Self-Seal, 12 x 15 in., 100/pk, 4 PK/cs

Cardinal Health Paper Sterilization Pouch combines a blue film and a medical-grade paper to provide breathability, sterile barrier and indication of processing. Each pouch includes an external process indicator for Steam and Ethylene Oxide (EO) Gas sterilization. You have the choice to seal the pouch yourself or mechanically with a heat sealer. To assist opening, a convenient thumb notch is positioned at the top of the pouch, above the chevron seal.

Our self-seal and heat-seal paper sterilization pouches address the three primary requirements for a peel pouch: breathability, sterile barrier and indication of processing. These pouches combine a fracture-resistant film and a high-strength surgical-grade paper, which provide adequate breathability and required sterile barrier. These pouches also feature a peelable low-lint design. Dual chemical indicators visually identify those packages that have been exposed to either steam or EO sterilization. Self-seal pouches have extra-strength adhesive for sealing.

Self-Seal Sterilization Pouch

After removing the protective strip, seal the pouch by folding the adhesive strip onto the pouch. Apply pressure from the center of the adhesive, towards the edges. Repeat this motion an additional time for extra security. If you are using a double pouching method, the pouch sizes should be selected so the inner pouch can be placed inside the outer pouch without folding. The inner pouch must also be sealed. The paper side of both pouches should face the same way. For example, paper towards paper and film towards film. Example of single- and double-packaging with paperplastic pouches. NOTE: Instruments should be oriented within pouches according to the health care facilitys policies and procedures.

Cardinal Health Low Temperature Sterilization Pouch and Tubing is intended to be used to enclose another medical device, in a single or double pouch configuration, that is to be sterilized by a health care provider using:

  • Ethylene Oxide (EO) with a concentration of 735 mg/L at 55C (130F) and 50% to 80% relative humidity for 60 minutes

Cardinal Health Sterilization Pouches and Tubing are intended to allow sterilization of the enclosed medical device(s) and also to maintain sterility (SAL=10-6). The subject device is intended and has been validated to maintain sterility of the enclosed devices for 6 months after steam sterilization and 24 months after EO sterilization, provided package integrity is maintained.

  • The maximum validated pouch load is 2.64 pounds (1.2kg).
