The idea for the CURAD Breast Bandage was born from the experience of a breast cancer survivor who experienced pain, discomfort and irritation during recovery from a double mastectomy. The only products available at that time were bulky surgical dressings she cut and taped to fit her bra and cover her sutures. The dressings often slipped out of place, and they were inconvenient and uncomfortable
So, she asked herself, why not make a bandage to cover only the area needing protection? One that could be easily positioned and taped to the compression bra - not the skin. After several years in development and testing, todays breast surgery patients can enjoy the comfort and effectiveness of the CURAD Breast Bandage.
